Kansas is not necessarily an anti-war project, though it was conceived and completed during the second war in Iraq.*
Instead, it was my intention to promote a personal and emotional imagining of a soldier’s final moments of life.
When I attempted to imagine the experience of dying a violent death in a strange and hostile environment, I imagined that my thoughts would be of home, and wishing I was there.
* and I am against killing people.
