I loves me some Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, I have since he was living here back in like 2001. One great thing about long-time listening to artists like Owen (solo, and using {basically} one instrument {thrift store keyboards and drum machines}) is that over time you get to hear their growth not only in terms of song writing, but in terms of gear. On Advance Battery Life, for example, a new collection of rarities and b-sides (White Corolla!!!!!) it looks like at some point in time someone bought a vocoder. As someone who went through their own vocoder phase, this is both a cringe-worthy and heartwarming moment!
