I was talking with my Mom about Buddhism* and my meditations and this blog/project. And I think I may have come to some insight that moments of present living can only be attained in completely non-productive activities, which looks really obvious on my screen right now, but at the time it hit me like a ton of brinks, or a ton of monks, or whatever.
That means that I’m actually wasting time when I’m being productive, and vise versa. (Que twilight zone music) Obviously there’s some balance trick to this, but for now it’s time to hang out with a friend and watch The Wire.
* By the way, I’m so not a Buddhist, but I do subscribe to almost everything about it’s practices.
