A poor attempt at clarifying some thoughts I’ve had for some time:

There has been too much stuff called art for that word to be useful.

I like to just say I do projects, and it’s a helpful test for me.

I like to take my projects as they are, and if something isn’t worth doing outside the context of art, then it isn’t worth doing at all.

After all, a painting doesn’t have to be called art for you to enjoy it.
